Michelin-Trained Chef Starts New Chapter Aboard 50-Metre Superyacht Contigo

Michelin-trained chef Joe Adams has joined the 50-metre superyacht Contigo, bringing years of fine dining experience to one of the charter market's newest luxury yachts.

Adams began his culinary career in England, working in Michelin-starred kitchens from the age of 16. After spending five years in the Michelin restaurant scene, he went on to open his own restaurant, which earned two AA Rosettes and recognition in the Michelin Guide. Following the closure of his restaurant, Adams transitioned into the superyacht industry, where he has spent the past five years refining his skills as a yacht chef. Today, he oversees the entire galley aboard Contigo, preparing bespoke menus for charter guests while also catering for the yacht's 11-member crew.

Operating as the yacht's sole chef, Adams is responsible for every aspect of the galley, from provisioning and menu planning to pastry, fine dining and crew meals. His days often begin before 7 a.m., baking fresh sourdough and pastries before guests wake up.

Delivered in 2024, Contigo is a 50-metre Sanlorenzo superyacht that accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins. The yacht features an owner's suite on the upper deck, a beach club, spa, sauna, gym and expansive indoor-outdoor entertainment areas.

The appointment highlights the growing trend of Michelin-trained chefs joining the superyacht industry, where demand for world-class culinary experiences continues to rise alongside expectations for personalized luxury charter experiences.
