ZATARA II is a 27.6-metre Sanlorenzo built in 2022, featuring an asymmetrical layout, a master suite on the main deck and a top speed of 32 knots. Until recently, she was used exclusively for private charters. ZATARA is now available for charter in Croatia.

The BALANCE is an Azimut Fly 82 built in 2026 with four cabins for eight guests. We were on board at the CROYA in Split: a very new, beautiful boat with two really good outdoor areas and surprisingly spacious cabins.

As the days grow shorter and cooler in Central Europe, a particularly appealing time for yacht charters begins in other parts of the world. Whilst many Mediterranean fleets are wrapping up their season, tropical islands, consistent winds and pleasantly warm temperatures beckon. The Seychelles, the Caribbean and the Canary Islands offer three very different ways to escape the winter on the water. Each of these sailing areas has its own character and places different demands on the crew and the trip planning.

The Balearic Islands are an attractive charter destination, but in some respects require a different approach to planning a sailing trip than, for example, Croatia or Greece. Particularly around Ibiza and Formentera, Posidonia conservation measures, buoy fields requiring reservation, crowded bays and heavy boat traffic play a major role. Added to this, in the height of summer, there is the heat and weather conditions that you should keep an eye on, even if conditions appear calm at first. If you are aware of these particular factors before chartering, you can save yourself a fair bit of stress during your trip.

The Bosphorus is not unusual because it separates Europe and Asia. Several straits do that. It is unusual because a major city sits directly on it, on both sides, for its full length. That makes a Bosphorus cruise different from cruising most other straits. The shoreline itself, not just the crossing, is the main attraction.
