BALANCE – Azimut Fly 82

The BALANCE is an Azimut Fly 82 built in 2026 with four cabins for eight guests. We were on board at the CROYA in Split: a very new, beautiful boat with two really good outdoor areas and surprisingly spacious cabins.

At just under 25 metres, the Fly 82 is the largest model in Azimut’s Flybridge series. The exterior was designed by Alberto Mancini, whilst the interior was designed by Fabio Fantolino. The interior features plenty of light oak, brushed metal and cream-coloured upholstery. The BALANCE is moored at D-Marin Mandalina in Šibenik; 2026 was its first charter season.

Bow lounge, stern balcony

Our favourite spot on board is right at the very front. In front of the windscreen, there is a large U-shaped lounge with a table, and in front of that, a continuous sunbathing area. The area is really beautifully designed and offers plenty of space, both for sitting and for lying down.

At the stern, there’s a lovely touch: the tender garage hatch is clad in teak on the outside. When at anchor, it folds down to form a small balcony right above the water. Behind it lies the hydraulic bathing platform.

Flybridge with bar

The flybridge is the second area we liked, particularly because of the bar with stools. Next to it is a large dining table for all eight guests. A hardtop provides shade, whilst at the front the windscreen and glass railing shield you from the on-wind. There is one point of criticism: the space at the rear of the flybridge isn’t utilised well; there’s too little there for the area available.

Salon and cabins

The saloon is rather simple in design. However, plenty of light floods in through the almost floor-to-ceiling windows. The sofa, armchair and dining table are arranged openly in the space, and the glass doors lead directly into the cockpit.

The cabins are particularly impressive; all four are very spacious. The master cabin spans the full width of the boat and features large windows and a walk-in wardrobe.

There are also two double cabins and one twin cabin, all with en-suite bathrooms. The beds are at least 1.95 m long, although the single beds in the twin cabin are rather narrow at around 69 cm. The crew sleep in the bow and have their own separate entrance.

Underway at 22 knots

The cruising speed is around 22 knots, making the Split–Dubrovnik leg a relaxed one-day trip. A Seakeeper stabiliser keeps the boat steadier even when at anchor, which is particularly helpful in open bays with swell.

On board are the skipper, deckhand and hostess. The garage houses a Williams jet tender, and there’s also a jet ski, a Seabob, an electric Jetsurf board, a SUP, a wakeboard, water skis, a tube and snorkelling gear for everyone.

From Šibenik, the Kornati Islands and the islands of Central Dalmatia are within easy reach. In 2026, the charter rate via BlueSun Luxury Yachts ranged from 49,950 euros per week in the early and late seasons to 59,850 euros in high summer, including VAT, plus ancillary costs.
