Robbie Williams’ Ataköy Marina Concert Canceled Over Security Concerns
The Robbie Williams concert, set for October 7 at Istanbul Ataköy Marina, has been canceled by the Istanbul Governor’s Office citing security concerns after social media claims that the singer supports Israel.
Organizer Atlantis Yapım announced that ticket refunds will be issued through the original sales platform.
On Instagram, Williams expressed deep regret:
“I am very sad not to perform in Istanbul. Officials canceled the show for public safety reasons, and my fans’ well-being comes first. We had chosen Istanbul as the final stop of the BRITPOP tour, and it was a dream to end this journey here, given my family’s close ties to Turkey. I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the concert, but the decision was beyond our control.”
Ataköy Marina, located on Istanbul’s European coast in Bakırköy, is one of Turkey’s most prestigious marinas and the country’s first mega yacht harbor. With capacity for around 700 yachts at sea and 100 on land, it offers full technical services, 24/7 security, restaurants, shops, and leisure facilities. Holding both the Blue Flag and “5 Golden Anchors” awards, it is recognized for its clean, safe, and high-standard environment, making it a prime destination for yachts and international events.
