One of Türkiye’s Top Tourism Destinations Set to Welcome a New Marina
Amasra, long admired for its dramatic cliffs, serene coves, and rich cultural heritage, is now preparing to add a modern marina to its shoreline. This beloved Black Sea town—already one of Türkiye’s top tourism destinations—is developing a new facility in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The marina will offer 240 meters of berthing space, an F-type pier, and room for 80 yachts, operating throughout the year. The tender is expected to wrap up by year’s end, with the opening planned for next autumn.
Amasra continues to gain attention in cruise tourism as well. Today it is a favored stop for vessels such as the Astoria Grande, and more arrivals are planned for 2026. Nearby Akkonak’s upcoming fishing harbor will further expand the area’s maritime capacity.
What to Do in Amasra
Beyond the marina, Amasra offers visitors an easy blend of nature, history, and local charm on the Black Sea Coast of Türkiye. Highlights include:
Amasra Castle, with panoramic views of the Black Sea
The Genoese Bridge and the town’s atmospheric historic quarter
Amasra Museum, filled with archaeological and maritime finds
Boztepe Island, perfect for scenic walks and sunset moments
Fresh Black Sea fish and the town’s famous Amasra salad, a local must-try
Convenient day trips to Safranbolu, Kastamonu, and Ankara, all within reach
With its natural harbor, warm character, and expanding infrastructure, Amasra’s new marina is poised to make the town an even more compelling destination for sailors and travelers exploring Türkiye’s Black Sea coast.
