Mediterranean Yacht Club Club de Mar-Mallorca Completes Landmark €82 Million Refit
One of the Mediterranean's best-known yacht clubs, Club de Mar-Mallorca in Palma, has completed a major renovation and expansion project following five years of construction work.
Founded in 1972, the club has long been a landmark in the yachting world, welcoming vessels owned by royalty, celebrities and international yacht owners. The extensive redevelopment, carried out between 2020 and 2025, included new marina facilities as well as a collection of modern waterfront buildings housing restaurants, a members' lounge and a spa.
The club's interiors were redesigned by Spanish designer Marta de la Rica, who drew inspiration from classic yachting culture and vintage Riva boats. Warm wood finishes, nautical colours and maritime antiques from the club's archives were incorporated throughout the project to reflect the venue's rich sailing heritage.
According to club president Borja de la Rosa Maura, the €82 million investment was funded entirely by club members. The renovation is expected to further strengthen Club de Mar-Mallorca's reputation as one of the leading yacht clubs in the Mediterranean.
Located in Palma Bay with views of Mallorca's historic waterfront, the renewed club combines modern facilities with a design that celebrates its long-standing connection to the yachting community.
