An Innovative Yacht Design with Sun Protection
Would you charter a yacht with lesser contact with the sun? If staying cool and shaded while enjoying the sea sounds appealing, Dutch design studio Vripack, in collaboration with renowned superyacht builder Oceanco, has introduced a groundbreaking new superyacht concept named Lily. Lily is a bold and futuristic design tailored for the next generation who prioritize both aesthetics and functionality—especially when it comes to sun protection.
A Radical Approach to Superyacht Design
Inspired by the natural form of a water lily, the yacht boasts an asymmetrical, split-level structure that enhances airflow and comfort. Overlapping decks mimic the petals of a closing flower, creating a seamless connection between nature and innovation. Lily's design stands apart from traditional motor yachts by eliminating side walkways and terraces, opting instead for expansive one-way glass windows that provide uninterrupted sea views while shielding passengers from harsh sunlight.

Ultimate Sun Protection for Enhanced Comfort
One of the standout features of Lily is its focus on sun protection.Lily integrates more shaded spaces than conventional yachts, ensuring guests can enjoy the sea without overexposure to the sun.

Luxurious and Functional Living Spaces
Lily's interior is designed with multigenerational travel in mind, offering nine guest cabins, an open-plan cinema, and a unique children’s play area accessible via a suspension bridge. The main leisure deck features a high ceiling and an advanced wellness area complete with an integrated waterside swimming pool, gym, and a water sports gallery.

Sustainability Meets Innovation
Lily is also a forward-thinking yacht in terms of sustainability. It incorporates Oceanco’s "Beyond Custom" design philosophy, which focuses on future-proofing yachts through cutting-edge technologies. Lily will feature Lateral Naval Architects’ Energy Transition Platform (ETP) with hybrid Dynafin propulsion and fuel cell technology, aligning with the industry's shift towards greener solutions.
