Yacht Charter Destinations according to Google Trends
According to Google Trends, the most searched yacht charter destinations for summer 2025 in Europe remain largely unchanged from previous years. Once again, Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast and Hvar Island, Greece’s Santorini and Mykonos, and Italy’s Sardinia and Sicily top the list for European travelers.
These Mediterranean classics continue to capture hearts - and searches - with their mix of natural beauty, rich history, and inviting seas.
On the other side of the Atlantic, American travelers are also staying true to their long-standing favorites. Florida and California lead domestic vacation searches. However, for U.S. travelers looking across the ocean to Europe, the same Mediterranean hotspots - Croatia, Greece, and Italy - are just as popular. Whether it’s sailing along the Dalmatian coast, watching the sunset in Santorini, or exploring Sicilian villages, Americans who choose the Mediterranean are aligning with European tastes.
Croatia: Dalmatian Coast & Hvar Still in the Spotlight
Croatia continues to shine with its picture-perfect coastal towns, crystal-clear waters, and yacht-friendly islands. Hvar, in particular, remains a top destination, especially among younger travelers and boating enthusiasts. The Dalmatian Coast, including cities like Split and Dubrovnik, consistently ranks high in search trends thanks to its charm, history, and proximity to stunning islands.
Greece: Santorini & Mykonos Hold Strong
Santorini’s whitewashed cliffs and famous sunsets keep it firmly on travelers' radars, while Mykonos offers a party-meets-luxury vibe that continues to attract a global crowd. Despite the rise of quieter Greek islands like Naxos or Milos, Santorini and Mykonos remain the most searched destinations in Greece, showing that icons don’t fade easily.
Italy: Sardinia’s Waters, Sicily’s Culture
Italy’s Sardinia remains a favorite for those seeking quiet coves, emerald waters, and luxury escapes, while Sicily captivates with its baroque towns, volcano hikes, and layered cultural experiences. These two islands offer distinct vibes - Sardinia is serenity, Sicily is storytelling - and both are equally beloved in 2025’s travel plans.
U.S. Travelers: Familiar Shores or Mediterranean Dreams
While Florida and California dominate searches for domestic getaways in the U.S., American travelers dreaming of Europe are searching for the same Mediterranean gems as Europeans. The combination of ancient ruins, postcard beaches, world-class food, and warm hospitality keeps Croatia, Greece, and Italy at the top of their wish lists too.
