Superyachts Gather in St. Barts for New Year Celebrations

As 2026 approaches, St. Barts has once again become the world’s most exclusive New Year’s Eve destination. This year, the spotlight is firmly on the water. Some of the world’s richest tech entrepreneurs are celebrating aboard their superyachts, turning the Caribbean anchorage into a floating luxury hub.

Arrivals began before Christmas, with yachts cruising between Caribbean islands before gathering off St. Barts in time for the famous Fort Oscar fireworks. While villas and beach clubs are fully booked, the most private parties are happening offshore - onboard superyachts hosting invite-only celebrations.

Superyachts Spotted in St. Barts

Ahpo – Dmitri Bukhman
The 115-metre Ahpo, owned by Playrix co-founder Dmitri Bukhman, has been seen at anchor. The yacht hosts up to 16 guests and features a piano lounge, spa, gym, beach club, and a crew of nearly 40.

Dragonfly – Sergey Brin
Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s 142-metre Dragonfly is one of the largest yachts in the area. It offers two helipads, a glass-bottom pool, a private cinema, and space for 18 guests.

Koru – Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos’ sailing yacht Koru remains one of the most talked-about yachts in St. Barts. Valued at around $500 million, the 127-metre yacht is often joined by a support vessel carrying additional equipment and crew.

Moonrise – Jan Koum
WhatsApp founder Jan Koum is also linked to the holiday scene. His 100-metre yacht Moonrise includes a helipad, a large beach club, a gym, and wellness facilities.

Whisper – Eric Schmidt
Eric Schmidt’s Whisper is known for its mosaic swimming pool, spa areas, and large video wall. The yacht also features a convertible basketball court.

In addition to these headline yachts, many smaller superyachts and support vessels have filled the anchorage. Together, they form a striking offshore display of wealth and design.

As fireworks light up the sky, St. Barts once again proves that New Year’s Eve is no longer just celebrated on land - but increasingly at sea, aboard the world’s most luxurious superyachts.
