Sailing in Style; The Classical Charm of 37 m Yacht Lycian Queen

The great diversity of the global yacht charter market is an opportunity for sea lovers to experience a wide range of emotions. Every yacht tells a different story. At the 7th TYBA Yacht Charter Show in Marmaris, one particular yacht stood out by offering a deeply nostalgic journey: the breathtaking Lycian Queen.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of speaking with Captain Ömer Çetin. As we stepped inside, I was immediately struck by the mirror-like gleam of the woodwork. Looking at the flawless, shimmering surfaces, I asked him: "When was the wood last varnished?" His answer was remarkable: "When she was built, back in 2015." Maintaining such a pristine finish for over a decade speaks volumes about the original build quality and the specialcare of her crew.

In an era dominated by modern composites, there is a distinct, classical taste to varnished wood at sea. When combined with traditional naval architecture, it instantly detaches you from the fast-paced modern world and immerses you in a refined, elegant era.
