New additional tax for charter yachts in Greece
TEPADACH PLUS is a new tax for charter yachts that are not licenced in Greece. This is an extra tax on TEPAI. TEPADACH PLUS is also called e-charter permission and just for commercial yachts. Private yachts do not require this tax.
According to the new regulation charter yachts, not registered in Greece, are required to have an e-charter permit. In short; if you are starting and ending your charter in Greece, you'll need to get an e-charter permission and pay a special fee called TEPADACH. This fee is calculated based on the number of days you'll be chartering in Greece and the gros tone of your yacht. Plus, there's a base fee of Euro 500 added on top.
Below you will see the fee according to the gross ton
GT ≤ 150 gt - 30 €
150 < GT ≤ 250 gt - 40 €
250 < GT ≤ 500 gt - 45 €
500 < GT ≤ 1000 gt - 100 €
1000 < GT ≤ 2000 gt -115 €
2,000 < GT ≤ 5000 gt - 130 €
GT > 5000 gt - 150 €
For example, if a yacht applying e-charter permission to charter for 12days in Greece and has a gross tonnage of 600GT then the TEPADAH will be : 12 (days) x 100 (GT fee) + 500 (standart fee) = €1,700
