Cruising Dreams and Distant Shores at the Düsseldorf Boat Show

From January 17 to 25, boot Düsseldorf 2026 invites visitors to explore not only new boats, but also new destinations. In Hall 13, the exhibition area Destinations & Boat Life becomes the hub for water tourism, cruising, and life on the water.

The stage programme offers daily lectures, interviews, and expert talks on sailing areas, chartering, sustainable travel, health on board, and active water sports. Visitors can compare regions, gather practical tips, and plan or even book their next holiday directly at the show.

Well-known speakers include Michael Amme, skipper and journalist with three decades of bluewater experience; Hannes Jaenicke, actor and environmentalist advocating climate and species protection; Marie Schneider, boat purchasing consultant and YouTube creator; Dr. Stefanie Kamke, physician and long-distance sailor; Gerhard Blank, skipper and Mediterranean specialist; and Peggy Engelmann, founder of the Fair Winds Collective and advocate for emission-free sailing.

The daily seminars includes many topics including yacht selection and equipment, health and safety on board, and planning cruising holidays. Additional topics include Mediterranean sailing areas, sustainable and emission-free boating, and environmental responsibility in water-based travel, combining practical advice with future-oriented perspectives on life and travel by water.
