A Yacht Charter Between Two Meals

What if you could start your day sipping tea over a long Turkish breakfast by the sea… and end it with grilled octopus and a glass of wine in a Greek taverna as the sun sets? No planes, no ferries, no stress—just a yacht, a bit of wind in your hair, and the blue Aegean stretching between two unforgettable meals.

Sounds like a dream? Not at all. This is a real (and surprisingly doable) day when you charter a yacht from Bodrum.

Good Morning, Bodrum

The day begins in Bodrum - Turkey’s sun-drenched, whitewashed gem of a town. But before you hop aboard, you have one very important task: breakfast. And in Turkey, breakfast isn’t a meal - it’s an event.

Think soft cheeses, olives, sliced tomatoes with a pinch of salt, homemade jams, crusty village bread, golden pastries, and kaymak (Turkish clotted cream) served with honey so thick it drips like sunshine. And of course, endless glasses of hot, tulip-shaped tea. Whether you sit under lemon trees in a small garden café or choose a breezy terrace overlooking the marina, this is the kind of breakfast that makes you want to cancel the rest of your day. But don’t. Because what comes next is just as magical.

Set Sail to Greece

Once you’re full and blissed out, it’s time to walk down to the marina and climb aboard your chartered yacht. You can be in Greece in just a couple of hours.

The Greek island of Kos is only about 10–12 nautical miles away - roughly 1.5 to 2 hours of sailing. If you're up for a slightly longer trip, Kalymnos is about 18–20 nautical miles from Bodrum, making it an easy 3 to 4-hour cruise.

You’ll cross an international border on water, but don't worry - your crew knows the drill with passports and paperwork. You just relax, stretch out on deck, and let the sea do its thing.

Aegean Blues and a Swim Stop

This isn’t a commute - it’s a journey. On the way, you might stop for a swim in one of the quiet bays around Kara Ada (Black Island) or somewhere midway in the open Aegean, where the water is impossibly clear and no one else is around. Paddleboard, snorkel, or just float. It's your day.

Hello, Greece – And Taverna Time

By late afternoon, you’ll be docking in a Greek harbor. Maybe it’s Kos Town, with its cobbled alleys and medieval fortress, or Kalymnos, rugged and dramatic with sponge-diver history. Either way, you're now on a whole new island, in a whole new country.

Dinner? A table by the water, of course. With paper tablecloths, the smell of grilled fish in the air, and a waiter who suggests “just a little bit of everything.” You say yes, obviously.

There’ll be tzatziki, grilled calamari, fresh bread, stuffed vine leaves, and maybe that perfectly charred octopus you never knew you loved. It’s simple, fresh, and unforgettable. And as the sun dips into the sea, you’ll toast to the fact that yes, this really was one day - just a very good one.

Why You’ll Never Forget This
It’s not every day you can have breakfast in Turkey and dinner in Greece, separated only by a yacht ride and a few lazy hours under the sun. But this stretch of the Aegean makes it possible.

No security lines, no noisy ferries, no timelines you didn’t set. Just you, your crew, and the sea. A yacht charter gives you freedom. And sometimes, that’s all you need to turn a simple day into a story you’ll tell forever.
