SanBlasCat was built by the French shipyard Fountain Pajot type Marquises 56 (16,5 m x 8,2 m) and underwent a compleat refit 2017.
provides space for 18 Guests in cabins and buncks. We have 168 m2 sail area, two engines of 75 hp
Yanmar, 3 bathrooms, 2 trampolines and 125 m2 deck area to sunbathe and relax. Snorkels, masks
and fins and the fishing gear anyone may use free of charge. To charge the batteries of Electronic
Equipment 110 volts are available.
Our target is sporty catamaran sailing in good comfort (no air condition, but fans at every bed)-
appreciating the paradise like conditions of the Panamanian Caribbean waters and shores- all year round, as we are situated south of the hurricane belt.
On the Panamanian shores we appreciate the clear waters and unspoiled reefs with their rich under water life. We saw Mantas, Hammerheads, Whalesharks, Nurse sharks and all types of reef sharks as well as Sting rays, Eagle rays, sometimes in large groups. Sharks in this area are shy and not aggressive. Extended snorkeling is always a breathtaking experience- never without a shoulder covering T-shirt to avoid sunburns.
Our diet on board includes King crabs, Lobster sold by the local fishermen as well as caught by
ourselves, seafood of all kinds, as we keep towing a 200 lbs. fishing line sometimes with success…. But a fine sirloin steak or roast beef finds also its way on the plates on board. We cater was well for Vegan or Vegetarian diet, if told at your booking…..
SAN BLAS TRIP: Sails every MONDAY from PORTOBELO at 10.00am and returns on Saturday – one or two weeks trips possible!
including: 3 meals per day (we are renowned for excellent food) on board baked full grain brown bread lots of veggies and fresh, tropical fruits to helpyourself for!-Tea, coffee, water, natural lemonade or ice tea, every night a different anchorage.
